Go Boldly on Space Show Dec. 7
On December 7th from 4:00-5:30pm CST Space Studies student Melissa Gordon and her colleague will be guests on "The Space Show" with Dr. David Livingston to discuss a recent campaign developed by young professionals in the space industry. The topic addresses support for increased funding for NASA's human space-flight programs. Further information about campagin can be found in the following paragraphs.
"Go Boldly is a campaign started by a group of young professionals in the space industry in order to urge our elected representatives to provide increased funding for NASA’s human space-flight programs. Together we created a website that allows viewers to gain a better understanding and awareness on how education, security, health, energy, and the economy are influenced by our nation’s investment in space exploration. Individuals can then sign a letter expressing their support, which will be sent to their elected representatives in Congress and to the President.
To date, over 3,100 letters have been sent from 42 states and the District of Colombia. With one of the Augustine Commission’s key findings that NASA needs increased funding of about $3 billion to do anything “meaningful” in space, this is a critical time to ensure our elected representatives understand the importance of human space exploration."

We hope you will listen in to "The Space Show" 4-5:30pm CST on Monday, December 7th.
