Title: The Influence of Television and Film on Interest in Space and Science
Topic: Many prominent people in the space industry have said that science fiction helped inspire them to go into their fields. The purpose of this study is to better understand how entertainment media contributes to people's interests and career choices. Through a literature review, historical research, and an online survey, this thesis will study the role of television and film in inspiring interest in space and science. The survey is suggestive, exploratory research using a convenience sampling method and is meant to provide direction for further research.
