McGee Wins Satellite Contest
Benjamin Wright McGee, a Space Studies online graduate student from Las Vegas Nevada, was recently awarded first prize in a contest sponsored by the North Dakota Space Grant Consortium. Space Grant is working with an affiliate, the North Dakota Heritage Center, to develop a satellite display for its “modern times” addition to the center. Space Grant offered a monetary prize of $250 to a Space Studies graduate student who would present research regarding what satellite would be most appropriate in regard to North Dakota’s history. McGee’s research on Explorer I earned top honors in the contest.
