Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to join the North Dakota Space Grant Consortium and the UND Ham Radio Club for their first Amateur Radio on the International Space Station contact.
Students in K-12 students, their teachers, and college students from across North Dakota will be able to submit questions and ask the astronauts questions with a long-distance “phone call.” The contact will be the week of March 7 – 13, 2016. (We’re not sure of the exact date yet because of the astronauts’ schedules and the orbit of the station, but NASA will let us know by the first week of February.)
On the day we call the International Space Station (ISS), there will be fun science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities for all students and teachers on the UND campus. Check out the activities that we have planned for everyone that day at: http://ndspacegrant.und.edu/outreach/ARISS.aspx.
