Each month, local restaurant Space Aliens helps the UND Observatory by partnering up in the "Aliens Helping Humans" program.  For one entire day a month, 20% of all proceeds are donated to the Observatory.  In the evenings of the designated days UND Space Studies students show up at Space Aliens with stickers, posters, bookmarks, and a telescope to bring the stars closer to the younger generation in Grand Forks.  The students put out fun facts on each table and the kids are all given space crosswords and word-finds.  The partnership has benefited the Observatory with more than $120 each time, and continues to be a success. The dates for this summer’s partnership with Space Aliens are: June 12; July 17; and August 14.
